Viking was founded in April of 2021 by a group of like-minded individuals with a passion for designing and manufacturing high- quality products and delivering unbeatable customer service. From our inception, we have been committed to a family-first philosophy which means treating our employees and our customers as such.
Nick has been in the industry in various capacities for the last 13+ years. He started his career with Pathfinder Energy Services in 2008 in Lafayette, LA making his way to Midland he became the District Manager for Mud Motors. After 4 years in Midland he and his young family moved to Colorado where he became a Regional Manager for the motor group. He developed into the NAL R&M Manager role for Pathfinder Schlumberger before he parted ways to begin his sales career. Having various opportunities in sales Nick has worked in directional drilling for QES and LEAM as well as selling power sections for Dyna Drill.
Blair has been in the industry for over 20 years, primarily with the manufacture, design, and application of power section technology. Blair began his power section career with Monoflo and then moved through the ranks of National Oilwell Varco before joining operations group such as Scientific Drilling and LEAM.
Blair enjoys life in Houston with his wife and daughter and continues to stay active as coach for youth soccer teams.
Jodi has 20 years of experience in various accounting and financial management roles, mostly in the oilfield. Right after graduate school, Jodi started as an Internal Auditor for W-H Energy Services. After the acquisition of W-H by Smith International, she served as Operations Controller for various divisions and geographic regions of Smith. Following the acquisition of Smith International by Schlumberger in 2010, she became an Accounting Manager at the Schlumberger NAM Financial Hub in Houston. Jodi left Schlumberger in 2013 to serve as Controller of Basintek, now Abaco Drilling Technologies.
Jodi left Abaco in 2019 to join Viking as VP of Finance. Jodi enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, watching Texas State Football, and traveling.
28 years of experience in the Downhole Directional Drilling business from design, engineering, manufacturing and operations. Machinist by trade , Tippy worked his way up through hard work and dedication to the industry. Most of his career was spent building a thriving independent manufacturing facility in Conroe, TX where he served as President/CEO for over 20 years. Tippy is driven by challenges and the desire to outperform the competition. Among Tippy’s strengths is the ability to be a hands on Leader and being able to connect with people around him- be it customers, employees or supporting personnel. With 20 plus years of demonstrated effectiveness Tippy combines his ability to teach, lead and learn to the helm of Viking Power Technologies. Along with his team he aims to take Viking to the top of the power section industry.
Jorge has been in the power section industry for the past 8 years. While working for Roper Pumps Jorge was able to learn the various processes involved in stator manufacturing. Jorge started from the shop floor and was able to move through the ranks until eventually becoming Production Manager.
He enjoys spending free time with his family, watching sports, cooking BBQ and wrenching on anything with 4 wheels.
In his role, Phillip works with customers on the specifics of their orders as well as directly with the shop floor to make sure items are produced at a high quality and shipped out in a timely manner. Phillip has 18+ years of experience in the Machining/Manufacturing business, mainly focusing on Downhole Drilling Tools for the Oil & Gas industry.
He started his career in the purchasing department of an independently owned manufacturing facility in Conroe, Texas in the early 2000’s and has since worked hard to move into greater roles of responsibility. In his spare time, Phillip likes to hunt, fish, play disc golf and enjoy time with his family.
Iain began his career working on Power Sections in 1990 in Manchester, UK with Mono Pumps. He moved with his family to Houston in 1999 becoming the Operations Manager for Monoflo and over subsequent years moved to Robbins & Myers working as Director of Engineering. In 2013 Iain joined Roper and was responsible for setting up the reline facility that has now become home for Viking. Iain excels at problem solving and is motivated by streamlining engineering processes to ensure nimble and agile response to customer requirements.
Iain enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports and is a keen golfer.
